| Overnight AGA Oatmeal Porridge |

Porridge is recently enjoying a revival as it is a slow release food which reduces hunger levels,
making it an ideal food to start the day for children and adults alike.
I am often asked for a recipe for overnight porridge, especially in the cold weather and for
Farmhouse Breakfast Week at the end of January. This is my favourite.
Ingredients
Method Bring the water and oatmeal to the boil in a 2 litre AGA saucepan whilst whisking and simmer on the simmering plate for 3 minutes. Cover with the well fitting lid. 2 and 3 oven AGA: Transfer to the grid shelf on the floor of the simmering oven and leave overnight, about 6-7 hours. If your simmering oven is particularly warm place the cold plain shelf above the saucepan to reduce the heat. 4 oven AGA: Transfer to the floor of the warming oven and leave overnight.
