The Best British Barbecue

Everyone loves a summer barbie and we’ve teamed up with Great Bircham Foods in Norfolk to offer 10 selection boxes of distinction containing an array of organic meat cuts - good enough to serve to the Queen.

There are those who believe that the original method of cooking beef over a fire is still the best and the folks at Great Bircham Foods agree! There is nothing quite like eating a sizzling,mouth-watering steak just off the barbecue and grilling brings out the rich flavour of quality meats such as the organic beef sourced from the Royal Sandringham estate in North Norfolk.

Great Bircham’s rib eye and sirloin organic Red Poll beef steaks are hung for a minimum of 21 days and are wonderfully tender and well marbled. They need just the lightest brush of oil before putting over the coals. Red Poll hamburgers, flavoured with a special mix of seasoning and spices, are delicious seared to a brown crust but all juicy and pink on the inside.

When it comes to grilling lamb, Great Bircham’s organically raised Dorper lamb is an ideal choice, tender and full of flavour. Chops are tasty cooked outdoors but if you really want to impress, a butterflied leg of lamb will feed a group and is a real treat. Free-range pork is a natural choice for barbecuing, whether as a chop cooked quickly over a high heat or as a roast cooked long and slow over indirect heat for a tender melt-in-the-mouth meal. For a hot dog with a difference try a selection of Great Bircham’s tasty sausages, all made to a special recipe by a team of master butchers.
